Internet by Globe WIZ + Coffee by Starbucks = nice way to start a
Friday.
The daily humdrums of my life, korni-kelled because I have nothing else to do.

A Rainy, Foggy Day at Tagaytay
My mom-in-law is on town and asked us (me and my wifey) if we can take her to Tagaytay. Being the good son-in-law (naks!), I promptly obliged. I planned to take her to Taal Vista to see the sights and allow the Monkeyboy (see previous posts) to ride one of the horses there.
But nature had different plans for us... As we enter Tagaytay City, rains started to pour and the fog was as thick as a pea soup! There goes the plan to go horseback riding! We ended up having an early lunch at Cliff House -- Buon Giorno to be exact. We had a rather filling lunch and after that we had crepes at Cafe Breton.
On our way back to Sta. Rosa, Laguna (where we live), the rain stopped!
Oh well...

My Current Reading List
My iPhone contains two of my favorite books: "Dune" and "The Power of One". I will not pretend to be a literati and I don't think I'm in a position to give an academic review of these books. All I know is that I absolutely love these books and they have somehow influenced me and contributed to what I am now.
I stopped in the middle of re-reading Dune to re-read The Power of One. I am now in the final few chapters -- where Peekay is already working in the mines and in the verge of meeting "the Judge" again. Once I'm done reading it, I'll go back to Dune -- I left off before the Harkonnens attack the Atreides with the help of the Emperor's Sardaukar army. I might continue to read the "classic" Dune series later.
I own the "dead tree" editions of these books so I don't feel too guilty when I was able to acquire the files for both books which I now read on my phone (fair use anyone?).

New After-Lunch Ritual
Since I got into the habit of having lunch at our "executive lounge", this has become a daily part of my after lunch ritual -- a cup of jasmine tea.

Self-fulfilling Prophecy?
Argh! I guessed right!
The so-called security seminar see previous post) was as exciting as watching paint dry! The speaker was as charismatic as me bedire my first morning coffee.
All in all, the speaker is a classic case of "How Not to Do a Presentation".

IBM Security Seminar
If this screen greets you at a so-called "security seminar", would you
have the patience to sit through it?

It Worked!
Now I have another way to post on this blog! Well, at least partially :)
I just wish there is a way to send pictures taken using the iPhone's camera and I'll be set.

My Obligatory First Post
subtitle: What's this all about?
I fancy myself as a veteran blogger. I jumped into the blogging "scene" a few years back as an experiment and as of now, I have been involved in a few personal blogs and some group blogs where I mostly write about things I am passionate about -- technology.
These past few days, I've neglected by other blogs... Noypee and Talkin' Tech. Maybe I got a bit burnt out, maybe my work gets a bit out of hand, maybe I just didn't feel like writing at all -- heck, I didn't even do my obligatory monthly article for Mobile Philippines!
I have written two paragraphs but I still haven't really gotten to my point yet. The point of this new blog is, as the title imply, do some sort of a chronicle of my life (if anyone can call it that) so far. What I will write will mostly be what happens in my life, some flashbacks and some thoughts I probably would want my kid to learn about me.
Will I be updating this blog faithfully? I just don't know yet. Will this not overlap my other blogs? Probably (but I'm not betting on it). Will this even survive for a few weeks? I myself don't know
